Uns — Gentle Dhikr Reminders

● Data Not Collected

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Uns is built to be private by design. This policy is short because there is very little to say: Uns does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, from anyone, ever.

What Uns does on your Mac

Shows short dhikr reminders on your screen at an interval you choose.
Computes Islamic prayer times on-device, from coordinates you provide.
Checks whether your microphone or camera is in use, and whether your screen is locked, purely to decide whether to show a reminder right now.

What Uns does not do

No network calls. Uns makes no requests to any server, ever. It works fully offline.
No accounts. There is no sign‑up, sign‑in, or user profile of any kind.
No analytics or tracking. Nothing about your usage is measured, logged, or sent anywhere.
No third parties. Uns includes no third‑party SDKs, advertising networks, or embedded trackers.

Location

If you choose to share your location (or enter coordinates manually), it is used only on your Mac to calculate accurate prayer times. It is never stored outside your own device's settings, never transmitted, and never shared with anyone — including the developer.

In‑app purchases

Uns offers an optional, voluntary tip to support development, processed entirely through Apple's own In‑App Purchase system. Uns itself never sees or stores any payment information — that is handled solely by Apple.

Children's privacy

Uns is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If Uns ever changes what it does with data, this page will be updated first, and the change will be reflected honestly — including in the app's own App Store listing.
